The “Sardinades” Party Concludes Carnival on Ash Wednesday in the Municipal Markets
On February 25, 2009 several “sardinades” were organized in the municipal
markets around Barcelona
to coincide with the closing ceremonies of carnival. The markets that hosted
these sardine tastings while bidding farewell to carnival this year, included the markets of
Sagrada Família, Bon Pastor, Montserrat,
and Sants.
The Golden Pepper Prizes of 2009 are Awarded

Municipal Institute of the Markets of Barcelona
has officially awarded the Golden Pepper Prizes during Carnival 2009.
